Gardening may not pay the bills, but it does make life better! As to writing and AI: AI is a noteworthy invention. However, it cannot offer connection in itself. It has to connect us to others to do that -- and it does that well. People make mistakes in writing too, but AI in my experience can't be trusted. It can and will cause costly mistakes and people will get burned. As we become more and more familiar with it, we will recognize when we are listening to it rather than to real people. AI art is amazing, but also recognizable and unpalatable. AI makes a great research tool, but it can't connect with us on an emotional level. Great writers do that.

It felt disingenuous 'liking' this, as I really don't like what's going on for us writers and copywriters. The amount of human competition, the amount of AI competition, the need to be a brand, the never-rising rates, the endless "fighting for scraps" (as you so vividly put it)... it sure is wearying.

Perhaps because I don't know what else I'd do and scared to try. Perhaps it's admirable determination; or worrying pig-headedness. Whatever, I'm inclined to carry on scrapping for now. But, god, I feel ya.

Love, R.
